DC Reading Order – Millennium

Aliens visit Earth to start the next wave of human evolution. Ten humans are chosen to advance and become immortals, given special powers. They are attacked by Manhunter agents; part of an alien conspiracy posing as close friends and relatives to every single superhero.

That makes it sound like a decent story … it isn’t.

Millennium is one of my least favorite DC events. It is overly complicated, it goes on for far too long, and almost all of the continuity implications from the event were thrown out.

It was largely a Green Lantern-led event, the Guardians of the Universe mess off to another dimension, one stays behind to hook up with his Zamaronian girlfriend. They plan of fucking off as well, but first they travel to Earth to make a bunch of random humans the new Guardians of the Universe. Humans?

Anyway, it’s here if you’re interested. It’s up to you.
